Bailey's Poke Cake


1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients called for on the box)

1 cup Bailey's Irish Cream

1 can sweetened condensed milk

2 cups heavy cream

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

Chocolate shavings, for garnish

Bake the chocolate cake according to the package instructions in a 9"x13" baking dish. Allow to cool slightly, then poke holes all over the top with the back of a wooden spoon.

In a medium bowl, whisk together Bailey's and sweetened condensed milk. Pour mixture over the cake, ensuring it fills the holes. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

In a large bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Spread over the cooled cake.

Garnish with chocolate shavings. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
