Tiramisu Layer Cake ๐Ÿฐ


Ingredients: ๐Ÿฎ

1 (18.25 ounce) package moist white cake mix ๐Ÿฐ

1 cup strong brewed coffee, room temperature ☕

1 tablespoon coffee flavored liqueur (optional) ๐Ÿฅƒ

1 (8 ounce) container mascarpone cheese ๐Ÿง€

1/2 cup confectioners' sugar ๐Ÿš

2 tablespoons coffee flavored liqueur ๐Ÿฅƒ

2 cups heavy cream ๐Ÿฅ›

1/4 cup confectioners' sugar ๐Ÿš

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting ๐Ÿซ


Directions: ๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿณ


Prepare the cake mix according to package directions using any of the recommended pan sizes. After baking, allow the cake to cool completely ๐Ÿ•’.

In a small bowl, combine brewed coffee and 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur; set aside ๐Ÿต.

In a large bowl, beat mascarpone cheese, 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar, and 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur until smooth and creamy ๐Ÿง€.

In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks. Gradually fold in 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar ๐Ÿฅ›.

Cut each cake layer in half horizontally, creating four layers. Place one layer on your serving plate and moisten it generously with the coffee mixture ☕.

Spread one-third of the mascarpone mixture over the cake layer. Repeat with the remaining cake layers, coffee mixture, and mascarpone mixture, ending with a cake layer ๐Ÿฐ.

Frost the top and sides of the cake with the whipped cream mixture ๐Ÿฅ„.

Dust the top of the cake with cocoa powder before serving ๐Ÿซ.
