Tiramisu Layer Cake 🍰

1 (18.25 ounce) package moist white cake mix 🍰
1 cup strong brewed coffee, room temperature ☕
1 tablespoon coffee flavored liqueur (optional) 🥃
1 (8 ounce) container mascarpone cheese 🧀
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar 🍚
2 tablespoons coffee flavored liqueur 🥃
2 cups heavy cream 🥛
1/4 cup confectioners' sugar 🍚
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting 🍫

Prepare the cake mix according to package directions using any of the recommended pan sizes. After baking, allow the cake to cool completely 🕒.
In a small bowl, combine brewed coffee and 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur; set aside 🍵.
In a large bowl, beat mascarpone cheese, 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar, and 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur until smooth and creamy 🧀.
In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks. Gradually fold in 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar 🥛.
Cut each cake layer in half horizontally, creating four layers. Place one layer on your serving plate and moisten it generously with the coffee mixture ☕.
Spread one-third of the mascarpone mixture over the cake layer. Repeat with the remaining cake layers, coffee mixture, and mascarpone mixture, ending with a cake layer 🍰.
Frost the top and sides of the cake with the whipped cream mixture 🥄.
Dust the top of the cake with cocoa powder before serving 🍫.
