🍫 Indulge in Chocolate Turtle Candies 🍫

These homemade Chocolate Turtle Candies are a delightful treat that combines the rich flavors of chocolate, caramel, and pecans. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create these sweet, bite-sized confections that are perfect for gifting or satisfying your sweet tooth cravings.

1 1/2 cups pecan halves

1/2 cup soft caramels, cut into small pieces

1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

1 tsp vegetable oil

Sea salt flakes (optional, for garnish)

Place pecan halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Toast them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes or until fragrant. Remove from the oven and let them cool.

Once the pecans are cool, arrange clusters of 3-4 pecan halves on the parchment paper, leaving space between each cluster.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the soft caramels in 15-second increments, stirring in between, until smooth.

Spoon a small dollop of melted caramel onto each pecan cluster, creating a base for the candies.

In another microwave-safe bowl, combine the semisweet chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 15-second increments, stirring until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted.

Spoon the melted chocolate over the caramel-covered pecan clusters, ensuring they are completely coated.

If desired, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt flakes on top of each candy for that classic turtle candy flavor.

Allow the candies to cool and set at room temperature or in the refrigerator for quicker results.

Once set, remove the candies from the parchment paper and store them in an airtight container.
