MINI CHERRY CHEESE DANISHES 🔥Recipe👇👇
🥰👉Ingredients:
1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cans (8 oz. each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
1 cup powdered sugar
1-2 tbsp milk or cream
1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)
👉Directions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Prepare Crescent Roll Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate the triangles. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Add Cream Cheese & Cherry Filling: Place a dollop of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each crescent triangle. Then, add a tablespoon of cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese.
Fold & Shape: Fold the corners of the crescent roll over the cherry filling, slightly pinching the edges together.
Bake: Transfer the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the danishes are golden brown.
Prepare the Icing: While the danishes are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk (or cream), and almond extract (if using) in a small bowl until smooth. If the icing is too thick, add a little more milk to reach your desired consistency.
Drizzle & Serve: Once the danishes are out of the oven and have cooled slightly, drizzle them with the icing. Serve warm and enjoy!
