CAKE MIX ITALIAN CREAM CAKE 🔥Recipe👇👇

Ingredients:


1 box of white cake mix (and the ingredients it requires, typically eggs, oil, and water)

1 cup shredded coconut

1 cup chopped pecans

1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:


1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

4-5 cups powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

Chopped pecans and shredded coconut (for garnish, optional)

Directions:


Prepare Cake: Preheat oven to the temperature specified on the cake mix box. Follow the directions on the cake mix box, adding the eggs, oil, and water as directed. To this batter, fold in the shredded coconut, chopped pecans, and vanilla extract.


Bake: Pour the batter into two or three greased and floured round cake pans. Bake as directed on the cake mix box, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Once baked, allow the cakes to cool completely.


Prepare Frosting: In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until creamy and smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.


Frost the Cake: Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of cream cheese frosting on top. Place the second cake layer on top and press down slightly. Spread another layer of frosting on top and on the sides of the cake. If using a third layer, repeat the process. Decorate the top and sides of the cake with additional chopped pecans and shredded coconut, if desired.
